Tuesday 12/30/08 XMARX.COM You can now find us at www.xmarx.com ! I managed to buy the domain, after first trying over a year ago. Keep and eye out for the new site. Sunday 12/28/08 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Thanks to all of you for a great year, keep checking back for new stuff. As the overall economy is slowing down, I have more time to work on new models. Keep an eye out for a large hanger. One of my customers (Chris) suggested it, he sent a very detailed description of his idea and the first casting will be his at no charge. Still trying to work out the kinks on a few things, and then it'll be ready to start detailing. I think it's going to be a modular piece, it will begin a series of models that can be joined together by corridors (need to give a not to Jez at 'Old Crow Models' for that idea, it was his first) and corridor junctions so that it could simulate either off world or zero atmosphere conditions. Still looking for pictures, I have some that I need to post in the gallery, but I will always want more. I'll list credit to you in the gallery if you want. I have Xmarx T-Shirts available, they’re not on the website or in the eBay store yet, but they're $10 and look great. They're made by a local guy here in Knoxville who does a fantastic job and uses good quality shirts. Note to George in Canada: Please send me an email; all my addresses were lost last summer when computer had it's melt down. I need to send you some more pieces. I'm looking for 2 more retail stores. If you have a 'brick and mortar' store and are interested in carrying the Xmarx line, contact me. Saturday 7/19/08 My computer suffered a fatal melt down last weekend. He didn't realize how much stuff he had on it until it was gone. Thankfully, 90% of it was salvaged. To the guy who suggested the Mech Hanger, I've lost you're email address, please contact me. I think you have mine, if not, go to the 'Contact Us' page. -Brian Molds for the Quickie Mart, Silo and Geo-Dome set are completed. Thanks to 'Jon in Indy' for the Geo-Dome suggestion, You're free pieces will be on in the mail in a couple of weeks. Production Molds are still in the works for the entire set. The Hanger Molds are wearing out, and when they're gone, the piece may be retired or re-modeled. Monday 4/26/08 Working on getting the website updated. All of the Xmarx pieces haven't been listed on the site. Keep checking back for new stuff. Sunday 3/16/08 First of THANK YOU! Xmarx has had a banner year already. Thank you all so much for all of the orders! The 'Sales@xmarx.biz' is no longer available. The spam was getting out of hand. From now on, go to the 'Contact Us' page. It's a little cumbersome, but until someone figures out a way to track down all the spammers in the world and stick screw drivers in their hard drives, it'll have to do. Exodus Road Hobbies now carries much of the Xmarx line. They even have some of the stuff that's not up on our site yet! Check them out! They also have a great selection of minis and other games. Friday 2/1/08 The molds for the Solar Panel Array are completed, as are the molds for the Bank. All of the old molds are re-poured with the exception of the Automated Mining Facility. Xmarx has retired some of the older pieces. The Masters have been damaged. The molds could be re-poured from one of the old castings, but then the flaws from that casting would be repeated. So, they've been retired and are no longer available. Sunday 1/6/08 I've left my ebay listings down while I try to get caught up with some work. There are a number of molds that need to be re-poured and some new pieces that either need molds and web pages or just web pages. I'm working on a solar panel array right now. Look for this one coming in the next few weeks:
Saturday 12/29/07 Xmarx will be shut down for a few days, I've pulled all of my ebay listings. Any orders placed on the website will be filled after the first of the year. Happy New Year!! Friday 11/30/07 I found a painter!! I've sent pieces to 6 different guys who said they would paint for me, and he's it. Thankfully, he's good. In fact he's great! He's very talented and honest, keep an eye out for his painted pieces in my ebay listings. He's finished a number of pieces for me already, you can see them in the gallery page. I'll try to get some more picture up soon. Thursday 11/29/07 The SRM turret and the Gauss turret have been ressurected. Some of you may be familiar with these two pieces, they were in the coming soon page forever. The molds themselves were plagued with problems. I could only get about 1 in 10 to cast properly. I went back to the drawing board and re-made the masters. This time, they work great! Keep an eye out for them in both 25mm and 6mm scales.
Thursday Nov. 8, 2007 I'm sad to report that Starquest Command has shut down their website. They are still selling Battletech stuff on ebay. Xmarx has been manufacturing the Old Crow 6mm line for Starquest Command for over a year. Now that they've shut down, the Old Crow line is available at my ebay store. Tuesday Nov. 6 2007 I'm starting a 'blog' to keep you all up to date about the goings on here at Xmarx. The production molds for the LRM Turret and the Low Wall set are complete. Check my ebay store for availability. I'll try to get the web pages updated soon, I'll also add the option of ordering individual pieces of the set there. |
